The IU Indianapolis Office of International Affairs has identified the SDGs as an anchor for much of its internationalization efforts, which includes advancing global learning across the curriculum, providing greater access to study abroad, collaborating with our many partners, and supporting and growing our international student population.
To further the global identity of our campus, IU Indianapolis is using the SDGs to develop interdisciplinary scholarly networks, to develop curriculum and co-curricular programming, and to support civic engagement, service-learning, and study abroad around the SDGs.
The SDGs are not only a natural to further global learning and engagement at IU Indianapolis, but are also a way for the campus to make connections between global and local forms of diversity. The SDGs are as important locally as they are globally, and they offer meaningful opportunities to seamlessly integrate our internationalization goals with the campus’s deep commitment to diversity, inclusivity, and anti-discrimination in all forms.
Together, we will use the SDGs as a framework to tackle our greatest problems, using multiple perspectives, global and local collaborations, and by transcending boundaries of all kinds.
